We are looking to recruit an HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist with NHS experience who is an enthusiastic, motivated therapist and who can demonstrate commitment and passion to the provision of high-quality person-centred, evidence based care.

You will need to have a background in acute and/or community Occupational therapy provision, have a good understanding of the mental capacity act and be skilled in mentoring & supervising junior colleagues.

You would be based at Torbay Hospital in the wonderful location of Torbay & South Devon. We are offering a full-time role, incorporating 6 monthly Rotations and contribution to our 7-day Service. Our Occupational therapy service places a high value on our staff development and wellbeing. Main duties of the job

In this role you will deliver expert occupational therapy interventions for patients across a variety of wards and settings within the acute hospital. as part of a senior 6 monthly rotational scheme.

You willLead & support junior Occupational Therapists, assistants, and students.

Work within multidisciplinary teams toprovide holistic patient care across a variety of different clinical settings within an acute hospital - including admission avoidance areas, healthcare of the older person wards, medical wards and surgical wards.

Play a key role in complex discharge planning & rehabilitation strategies.

Be part of anintegrated 7-day serviceimproving patient outcomes.
