Job summary

We are seeking a Service Manager to manage the clinical and operational delivery of the Torbay Recovery Initiatives (TRI) drug and alcohol service in accordance with national best practice and service standards.

TRI is part of the Growth in Action (GiA) Alliancewhich includes the Torbay Homelessness Hostel and Torbay Domestic Abuse Service (TDAS).

Main duties of the role are:

  • To provide leadership in the provision of TRI community drug and alcohol treatment for adults with substance use related issues in Torbay.
  • To strengthen the Growth in Action (GiA) Alliance Working Model by building and sustaining key organisational relationships with services across Torbay that support people experiencing homelessness, housing insecurity, involvement in the criminal justice system, domestic abuse and sexual violence, mental health challenges, and wider complex needs and vulnerabilities.
  • The post holder will work with commissioners to ensure compliance of the contract key performance indicators.

Main duties of the job

  • To promote and support development of the GiA Alliance which includes the Torbay Homelessness Hostel and the Torbay Domestic Abuse Service.
  • To promote and lead on providing a strengths-based approach with the treatment system.
  • To value differences and individuality, showing respect to all.
  • Providing an equitable service across the Trust so that all clients have responsive equal access to services.
  • Ensure all changes to delivery are informed, effective and make client centred decisions.
  • Ensure service is compliant with regulatory quality standards e.g. CQC as well as Trust standards and policies relevant to this service area.
  • To work in partnership locally to ensure the best possible outcomes for the people with drug & alcohol addictions.
  • Ensure all the staff working in the drug and alcohol services have a voice in changes to services and new ways of working.
  • Promote service user and public involvement in the development of the services, where appropriate co-develop and co-design of services.
  • To ensure service performance monitoring systems are in place and fully compliant to enable service reporting to NDTMS (National Drug Treatment Monitoring Service) and Torbay Council Public Health Commissioning.
  • Lead on incident and complaint investigations in line with Trust policy, ensuring any learning and recommendations are incorporated into future service delivery.
