Job summary
We are looking for a substantive Team Lead podiatrist with interest in MSK at Band 7 within our Podiatry department.
You will provide professional clinical leadership for a team thus ensuring standards of clinical expertise and excellence in podiatry are continually maintained and improved, particularly in the MSK service.
You will provide leadership in developing and providing a specialist Musculoskeletal (MSK) podiatric service across the Torbay and South Devon Health Community within existing resources
Main duties of the job
- To manage a team of podiatrists and support staff, achieving performance management targets within prescribed budgetary limits and ensuring that the highest possible standard of podiatry is delivered effectively and efficiently to patients within Torbay and South Devon Community and within existing resources.
- To work as a confident clinical specialist, demonstrating highly specialist knowledge, skills and expertise and advising colleagues on the assessment, diagnosis and management of musculoskeletal conditions and undertake all podiatry clinic activity.
- To support head of service in developing research and development innovations for MSK podiatry
About us
The podiatry department consists of 45 clinical staff, comprising of Head of Service, Team Leads, Specialist podiatrists, podiatrists, assistant practitioners and clinical support staff . We also have 10 administrative staff.
We aim to innovatively deliver first class lower limb and foot health preventative care across South Devon. We strive to achieve better outcomes for our patients whilst we also actively promote development opportunities for our staff.
