This role is an exciting opportunity to join the Education Directorate, building upon an existing Education provision delivering Restore2.
Restore 2 is delivering educational priorities to the local community providers such as care home .
This targeted approach supports enabling care home staff to understand and recognise what medical support their residents require & how to appropriately refer or support.
The increased education provision to social care in this way has been demonstrated to improves patient quality of life, improves quality of care, patient centred care & end of life care . This is 12 month fixed term opportunity.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for
- The planning, delivery, evaluation and ongoing development of Restore2 training across external care providers in line with the Enhanced Health in Care Home structure.
- The management of and support for the clinical skills administrator
- Being responsive and anticipatory to the requirements of service development
- Ensuring all training is evidence based and developed in line with statutory training standards, i.e. CQC, Ofsted, NHS England, NMC code of conduct, Skills for care etc.
- Lead on developing innovative design and delivery of Restore2 train the trainer.
- Delivery of Restore2 full and mini courses.
- Engaging with all relevant stakeholders, ensuring a consistency of delivery and training across the specialties within the ICO, including Learning Disability nurses delivering Restore2 training.
- Contributing to assessment and evaluation review
- Developing and maintaining Quality Assure processes to ensure learner engagement and learning outcomes are consistently met, reviewed and updated regularly.
- To maintain CPD at a level that both supports the role and facilitates supervision, knowledge and skills required to assess and teach learners

- Teaching/Training or Instructing Qualification, PTLS, CTLS, City & Guilds 7307, 7300 or equivalent) or working towards
Experience

- Recent clinical knowledge and experience within an acute or community environment, underpinned by theory and CPD
- Ability to undertake a range of nursing procedures.
- Knowledge and experience of professional roles within a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience of working in a care setting
- Experience of supporting other workers
Desirable
- Experience in venepuncture, phlebotomy, dressing management
- Experience of working under distanced supervision
