The role of the Education Tutor (Moving and Handling/ Mandatory) is an exciting and expansive role as it covers supporting the development and provision of training for all areas of the Integrated Care Organisation (ICO) as well as external care providers.
The role offers diversity as well as an opportunity to be creative and deliver research-based education and training. We are looking for someone to champion staff and patient safety and work alongside our clinical and non-clinical settings. Main duties of the job
- Work as a role model to learners in the TSDFT organisation
- Supporting the planning, development, delivery, evaluation and ongoing development of manual handling and mandatory training across all areas of the ICO including external care providers in line with the enhanced health in care home structure
- Being responsive and anticipatory to the requirements of service development
- Ensuring all training is evidence based and developed in line with statutory training standards, i.e. CQC, Ofsted, NHS England, NMC code of conduct, NBE, Skills for care etc.
- Participating in the development of innovative design and delivery of training
- The post holder will support learners, providing advice and guidance as appropriate, referring to the Moving and Manual Handling Facilitator as necessary
- Providing a consistency of delivery and training across the specialties within the ICO
- Participating in the developing and maintaining of Quality Assurance processes to ensure learner engagement and learning outcomes are consistently met, reviewed and updated regularly
- To maintain CPD at a level that both supports the role and facilitates supervision, knowledge and skills required to assess and teach learners
