Job summary

Due to service improvements our friendly and supportive Recruitment Team, situated within the Resourcing Hub, are expanding. We are seeking to appoint a new Recruitment Coordinator to join us on the development of our service.

We care deeply about the services we provide, as part of the team that bring in the people, for the people, you will provide a comprehensive and efficient values-based recruitment service for our managers and candidates. You will be working in partnership with our recruiting managers and stakeholders, to attract the right people for the right job.

You will develop knowledge and expertise within a specified discipline in order to provide an efficient recruitment experience for our managers and candidates.As there's strong demand for our services, the team will continue to build which means we can offer you the chance to grow in your career and development.

Main duties of the job

As Recruitment Coordinator, you'll work closely with colleagues within our Resourcing Hub and Directorate.

You will:

  • support and provide advice to colleagues and managers on the vacancy control process, advertising and shortlisting of vacancies.
  • provide advice and support to managers of best recruitment practice, always acting in accordance with Trust policy
  • have high level conversations with managers regarding service redesign and talent management, building and holding an effective and robust talent pool to support organisational redesign
  • prioritise workload and react to changes to meet deadlines and KPIs
  • aid and contribute to the development of departmental policies/ procedure relevant to the role and use creativity and innovation to support and assist with service improvement and continued development, ensuring that robust evaluation systems are in place to review performance. Elsewhere, you will aid the development and support Implementation of values-led recruitment practices, leading and facilitating assessment centres including speaking to large groups
  • develop a specialist interest area and be the expert in this field, for example: right to work visa checking, DBS's, GP Surgery recruitment, Honorary Contracts and much more!

Essential

  • NVQ3 or equivalent proven relevant recent experience working in an office environment
  • Good demonstrable general education, including basic numeracy and literacy

Desirable

  • Member of CIPD (such as Associate or have Certificate in Personnel Practice) or willingness to work towards it
  • Recruitment and Selection training

Knowledge

Essential

  • Understanding of recruitment process with particular knowledge of relevant NHS Safer Employment Check Standards.
  • Working knowledge of computers including web based systems and Microsoft packages
  • Excellent data entry/ word processing skills with attention to detail to effectively enters data into HR systems.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of NHS systems such as ESR and NHS Jobs
  • An understanding of equality and diversity and its implication within recruitment and selection
