Main duties of the job
- Providing a high secretarial service to the Consultant Oncologists.
- Liaise with staff at all levels effectively both internally and externally to the hospital
- Use Trust systems for typing, logging of information and data
- Be responsible for all aspects associated with your role
- Be flexible in approach to cover across services when required
- Maintain strict confidentiality at all times

To comply with the Trusts Patient Access Policy and Standard Operating Procedures
To undertake a variety of office duties, such as filing, opening and distributing post, photocopying, moving and lifting of patient notes to ensure the efficient and effective support to the department

- Good Standard of Education - Including GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent
- Typing to RSA II or equivalent level of speed and accuracy
- Experience in a similar secretarial role
- Ability to use Medical Terminology appropriately
- Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software
Desirable
- Audio Typing
- Medical Terminology qualification
- Knowledge of Hospital systems ie: PAS, Infoflex, Cyberlab, Ultragenda
- NHS experience and knowledge of medical records
