Job summary

The Virtual Ward Team are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, highly motivated and experienced admin assistant to provide clerical support to the department ensuring an effective and efficient service is delivered.

This position requires you to work at Torbay Hospital

The ideal candidate will be forward thinking, wanting to embrace and suggest change with a clear direction on engaging team working in a busy environment.

The ideal candidate will need to have excellent customer care experience, be proficient in their typing ability with accurate grammar, spelling and punctuation and welcome change in this expanding service.

Main duties of the job

You will need to be a team player with excellent customer care experience, with knowledge in using Microsoft applications.

You will have the ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team with excellent written and verbal communication skills and organisational abilities.

To support the service with all administrative duties.

To train and support new admin team colleagues.

About us

You will be part of a multi-disciplinary Team delivering a new virtual ward service, which offers a safe alternative to inpatient care. The service currently delivers care to Cardiology and Respiratory patients and the virtual ward service will continue to grow.

We work as a close multi-disciplinary team which consists of Consultants, specialist nursing teams, Specialty Doctors and administrators.

To enter, monitor and update all aspects of the Referral to Treatment (RTT) pathway events accurately and ensure Inter Provider Transfers (IPT) are completed and updated
