Job summary

Bank OT

To undertake holistic, strengths based Occupational Therapy assessments in partnership with individuals (service users/ patients).

To undertake specialist clinical Occupational Therapy assessment and provision within the various settings of Torbay and South Devon Foundation trust as required. This may include providing specialist clinical advice to the multi- disciplinary team, clients, carers and other professionals on disability, rehabilitation, housing, equipment provision, adaptations, risk management, relevant legal and funding issues.

To manage a personal caseload of complex, highly complex and statutory work. Act as an autonomous practitioner evidencing high levels of problem solving, decision making and independent judgement in a variety of acute hospital and community settings and situations.

  • Proven post-graduate experience
  • Pressure care and prescription Knowledge and understanding of complex legislation surrounding health and social care
  • Understanding of National Service Frameworks for Older People, specifically aspects referring to Stroke, Falls and Intermediate Care.
