The Nursing Associate within the sphere of nursing to provide a high quality of nursing care across the lifespan and fields of nursing. Working under the leadership of the Registered Nurse, the Nurse Associate assumes responsibility for their workload. As part of this role you will work as part of a team, delivering health and social care that focuses on the holistic needs of service users. The post holder will also work as part of the community team across both community nursing and intermediate care delivering health care that focuses on the direct need of service users, within the home environment or appropriate care setting.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will primarily support the community nurse team in delivering care to clients with long-term conditions and complex health and social care needs across the community nursing and Intermediate Care Service. You will also support the team in the facilitation of early discharge from hospital where appropriate. The successful applicant will demonstrate a range of clinical skills and competencies along with excellent communication skills providing advice and information to clients and carers with the aim of maintaining them in their own homes enabling maximum independence and optimum quality of life.
About us
We are a large and friendly team where you will have the opportunity to build upon and develop your existing clinical skills. This post requires you to be a team player but confident to work autonomously as required. The locality of Torquay and care delivery will be across this geographical area; so the post holder will be required to hold a full driving license and access to a car.
Our service runs from 07:00 - 19:00, 7 days a week with various shift patterns and weekend working on a rota basis
