Main duties of the job

  • As the MS Coordinator, you will be the primary link between our MS service and patients, offering guidance on the use of our MS PKB platform where patients can monitor lab results, journal their symptoms, manage medications, and communicate with healthcare providers. Your role includes:
  • Engaging with MS patients and coordinating live demo events of our platform.
  • Offering technical support and troubleshooting assistance for MS PKB and other platforms like NHS App.
  • Screening messages from patients and directing them to the appropriate clinical or admin teams.
  • Ensuring that our MS Infoflex database remains up-to-date with the latest clinical information.
  • Sending patient-reported outcomes prior to clinic appointments to prepare patients.
  • Participating in MS MDT and actioning outcomes like booking patient appointments, tracking results, and consolidating correspondence from other services.
  • Assisting in organising #BeewellwithMS podcast guest speakers, preparing for interviews, and even editing podcasts and videos.
  • Developing disease-modifying treatment and management pathways as part of the team.
  • Your enthusiasm, adaptability, and willingness to learn will be invaluable as you navigate our rapidly changing NHS environment and commit to new innovative projects led by Dr. Straukiene, nationally and internationally.

  • To work closely with all grades of clinical and administrative staff, along with other employees within the Trust
  • Liaise with our local Infoflex developers, CIMS (system provider) to ensure smooth processing of the database
  • Support the clinical and administrative team working towards systems and processes which allow full realisation of the tracking benefits of the database
  • Exchange information with patients, relatives and staff on a variety of department matters and procedures
  • Convey information sympathetically to anxious patients and relatives.
