Job summary

Torbay Pharmaceuticals (TP) have a rare opening for an IT Analyst Specialist. As a small team you will be a key person in providing support and technical knowledge for a growing business. The role is extremely varied and there is an opportunity to develop your technical and personal skills.

Being the support focus for all TP Business systems and embracing new solutions to aid in our ability to become a smarter business.

You will have the ability to work flexibly from home but you maybe required to go to site at any time during the day, so you will need to be able to get to site on short notice. Working on an on-call rota is necessary to provide support for the business.

Main duties of the job

You will be a key member of the team supporting the wider business in all IT requirements and must have a broad range of IT skills along with the ability to fully manage several software systems, working with other departments to control the Pharmaceuticals GMP standards.

Supporting the business, maintaining, upgrading, and supporting the Manufacturing Software systems and related hardware. You will be required to install and perform regular maintenance on all software and associated ancillary equipment.

Working with the quality team to provide risk assessments to help support the upgrade and bespoke of software. Experience of providing IT support within a manufacturing environment is essential.

Regular requirement to develop or amend reports from any of our current or future systems. You will be expected to participate in the development and roll out of our business information strategy.

Job description

Job responsibilities

  • To be responsible for maintenance of data quality according to TP and NHS standards for TP Systems. This will require accurate investigation and may involve reporting of issues to other Information System teams.
  • To maintain and improve data quality and minimize the risk of incorrect or inadequate data.
  • To ensure all work is completed in adherence to Information Governance Standards.
  • To provide expertise as and when required to the TP IT Systems Manager.
  • To ensure all TP systems are up to date and in line with the maintenance contracts.
  • To ensure all Licenced products are compliant with licensing rules and regulations.
  • To be responsible for the logging of errors to system suppliers and monitoring of responses and response times against relevant Service Level Agreement standards.
  • To ensure all system upgrades, patches, changes etc. are tested before implementation and recorded in a detailed test plan with accompanying test scripts.
