Job summary
The Digital Production Apprentice will support the design, production and delivery of a variety of innovation projects benefiting the trust through the Digital Futures Lab.
The material will be consumed by Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust staff, patient groups, and staff from our partners and external organisations.
The role will be aligned to the Level 4 Software Developer apprenticeship standard.
Main duties of the job
The Digital Futures team's aim is to develop new and innovative products and solutions to enhance both education & training (including simulation), research outcomes, and service improvement at the Trust.
This often includes development of applications, prototypes & packages in a range of technology areas, including XR technologies, artificial intelligence, 360 content creation, app development, 3d scanning & printing, as well as new and emerging tech sectors.
In the context of this role this will include primarily working on a collaborative basis with the digital team - providing input on design creation and programming skills to enable the continued creation and development of project outcomes - both internal and external.
The Digital Production Apprentice will principally fulfil the following needs;
To produce content for the digital innovation lab for a range of different media devices as directed by the Digital Innovation Facilitator.
To develop and then provide technical expertise and advice in the use of digital technology.
To develop digital technology solutions for research, education and training across the organisation.
The post holder will apply digital technologies for the benefit of staff, patients and patient families.
This will include the design, development, testing and delivery of innovation research projects.

- Experience in a range of code such as C#, Python PHP, HTML, C++ or similar programming languages
- Prior experience of 3D asset creation
