Full Time Cardiac MRI Fellow
We are looking to appoint a full time Cardiac MRI Fellow for 1 year to join our highly dynamic Cardiac MRI team within our large tertiary centre. The successful applicant will work within a multidisciplinary team providing MRI imaging using a Siemens 1.5T MRI scanner based. This post is 20% research and other activities supporting development.
This role will require you to work at the Bristol Heart Institute, a state-of-the-art £57m centre dedicated to Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery, Cardiac Imaging and Cardiovascular Research. As well as having high-throughput coronary intervention and an extensive cardiac surgery program, we are the regional centre for Adult Congenital Heart Disease. We are also a tertiary unit for structural intervention and electrophysiology. We have an established high-volume TAVI service and are one of a few units in the country that have experience in percutaneous mitral and tricuspid repair.
We are looking for a committed and highly motivated doctor to run clinical cardiac MRI lists and report on clinical scans under the supervision of the specialist consultants.
Main duties of the job
This post is 80% clinical and 20% research/education as determined with supervisor.
Clinical: To run clinical cardiac MRI lists and report on clinical scans with the supervision of the four consultants. The clinical activities will include stress perfusion, cardiomyopathy, adult congenital and vascular cases. Training in all areas under expert consultant supervision will be provided.
Administration: To work administratively within the cardiac MRI Unit which may include managing the ROTA for the clinical and research fellows relating to clinical cardiac MRI lists, reporting, study leave and holidays.
