The gynaecology department at St. Michael's Hospital is looking for a compassionate and dynamic registered nurse who has an interest in developing their knowledge and skills within gynaecology.
We have 2 part-time post available 24 hours, worked over 3 days a week.
St. Michael's is the regional centre for gynaecological oncology and endometriosis
This is an exciting opportunity for experienced registered nurses (must have completed preceptorship) looking for part-time employment.
We have a wide range of clinics covering various gynaecological conditions including oncology, endometriosis, fertility, colposcopy, hysteroscopy, general gynaecology as well as a Gynaecology Pre-op clinic.
Registered nurses are expected to work Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:30am-5pm.
Main duties of the job
You will work in the Outpatient clinics which will require you to use your clinical skills during and post clinics. This can include assisting with minor procedures, running own nurse led clinics, and supporting the doctors, consultants and nurse practitioners in their clinics. Managing recovery of small number of patients following minor procedures in clinics.
Our small teamalso support with the inpatient wards with essential nursing care when required; so youwill be expected to assistthe inpatient wardsduring your working hours as part of your role.
Due to our varying weekly clinic schedules, you will be required to work a varying shift pattern based on service demand. Staff are also required to rotate / cover Gynaecology/Colposcopy clinics in Weston General Hospital.
