ENT outpatients Aural Care Specialist Nurse

Job summary

We are currently looking for a registered nurse experienced in aural care to join our friendly multidisciplinary team at St Michaels Hospital.

You will deliver aural care treatment clinics and participate in running our busy ENT outpatients department.

We have a 28.5 hour per week fixed term post to cover a career break for a period of 6 months.

The hours will be worked over 3 days, Monday, Thursday and Friday 8:00 - 18:00

Main duties of the job

You will deliver nurse led aural care clinics treating patients for ear problems including performing microsuction for complex patients and treating infections.

The role will also include overseeing and assisting with the doctor and nurse practitioner clinics

You will learn the process of decontamination of nasendoscopes (training will be given).

In the absence of the department Sister, you will take charge of the department, ensuring the smooth running of the service.

There will be opportunities for teaching others within the outpatient multi-disciplinary team.
