We are offering many exciting opportunities that will enable you to develop your skills in different areas of midwifery. We have a fabulous co-located Midwifery Led Unit at St Michael's Hospital and a Midwifery Led Unit at our Weston Hospital. Here, we provide exceptional care for low risk women. In addition, we have a several well established Community Midwifery Teams that support low risk women at home.

We are the major tertiary Fetal Medicine Unit for the South West providing highly specialist care for women & their babies.

Main duties of the job

  • Be able to demonstrate leadership and management skills
  • Be flexible with a caring attitude, rotating throughout the maternity departments and to be a part of the on-call service we provide.
  • Have excellent and extended clinical skills
  • Be able to develop their clinical skills and participate in continuing their professional development.
  • Have experience in solving problems and using their initiative.
  • Have the ability to take the lead when caring for women and their babies, identifying any deterioration from normal and escalating appropriately.
  • Be able to communicate and work together in a multidisciplinary team
