House Keeper - Outpatients

Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic, methodical and motivated worker, to take on a housekeeper position within the Bristol Haematology and Oncology Outpatients Department. This position is to cover 4 days of which 1 of these days the successful candidate will be expected to travel to our Concord Unit in BS34 6BQ, which is part of our site expansion. The award winning team includes working alongside 23 nurses, comprising of 1 Sister, 2 band 6 Senior Staff Nurses, band 5 Staff nurses and Senior healthcare support workers. The candidate must demonstrate good communication skills, passion, be hard working, logical and organised. They need to work well in a team and also be able to work autonomously. The individual must demonstrate excellent communication skills and proven IT skills .They need to work well in a team and also be able to work independently. Would you like to work Monday to Friday 8-4, no weekends or nights, with occasional work across Bank Holidays? - if so this maybe the role for you.

Main duties of the job

The Post Holder will:- Work as an integral part of the ward team, being responsible for the co-ordination of all patient facilities/ service. Ordering of stock, contacting suppliers and maintaining clinic rooms and trolleys well stocked. Ensure a clean, safe and comfortable environment and act as a focal point for non-clinical tasks. Co-ordinate the delivery of catering, cleaning, and ward stores Co-ordinate and oversee minor maintenance and repairs, together with other specified tasks to meet the needs of the ward. Work closely with support services, Facilities Management, and other departments as necessary. Helping to open the department in the morning, welcoming patients and relatives to the department. Ensuring the department is maintaining the correct level of cleaning standards, creating and maintaining essential checklists and supporting the nursing teams in new projects for the area.
