As a Bank CT Radiographer at UHBW, you will support the delivery of a high-quality, patient-focused CT service across our sites. About the CT Team at UHBW:

Our CT service is recognised for its strong leadership, supportive culture, and clinical excellence. The team consists of highly skilled Radiographers, Assistant Practitioners, and Radiology support staff who work closely with Radiologists, Physicists, and multidisciplinary clinical teams.

We have a range of scanners across sites, including 3 Siemens 128 Slice, and 2 Canon Aquilion One volumetric scanners.

Main duties of the job

What we're looking for:

We are looking for a Radiographer to join our CT team based at the Bristol Royal Infirmary. We're looking for someone who is able to commit to this post for 6 months on the bank.

  • HCPC registered Diagnostic Radiographer
  • Experienced in CT imaging
  • Committed to high standards of patient care and safety
  • A strong team player with good communication skills

What you'll be doing:

  • Working to set standards & protocols, functioning in accordance with best practice and in a manner that meets professional, departmental and legal standards and requirements
  • Performing a wide range of CT protocols
  • Assist in more complex CT examinations under the supervision of senior staff
  • Take part in the provision of a 24-hour CT service. This includes night shifts and weekends
  • Organise the efficient control of workflow patterns within the department when acting as a senior of the day, if required.
  • To provide a 24/7 CT service to the Trust, by producing high quality images.
  • To teach student Radiographers, Radiographic Assistants and all Radiographers.
