Home Tube Feeding Service - Band 3 Dietetic Support Worker (0.6wte)

Joins us as a Dietetic Support Worker (DSW) in Home Management Services (UHBW), where you will play a crucial role in supporting the Dietitians to deliver high quality nutritional care patients who are tube feeding in the community. Home Management Services are the community tube feeding team covering BNSSG and BaNES - you will need to act fast, as these roles rarely come along!

You will join a friendly and experienced team of Dietitians, DSWs and a supportive admin team. The role will involve supporting dietitians in delivering a nutrition and dietetic service for tube-fed patients of all ages (from babies to older adults) and their carers, in the community.

Main duties of the job

You must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle for work purposes as you will be visiting patients and their families/carers at home, in schools and nursing homes. You will be collecting nutritional information as well as weighing and measuring and keeping accurate records. The main geographical area you are likely to cover is Weston and South West Bristol.

You must be self-motivated, with excellent organisational skills, as you will manage your own workload on a daily basis. The service is based at Central Health Clinic, Bristol, with the option to start and finish work from home. Attendance at the office is required for team meetings.

You will need proven experience in a healthcare or a nutrition related role, enjoy working with people from different cultures, religions and ethnic groups and be able to adapt to different situations. Team working, excellent communication and IT skills are vital.
