An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and adaptable registered Pharmacist to join the Oncology Pharmacy Team in UHBW. This position would be responsible for the safe and effective medicines management to the Oncology Unit at Weston General Hospital.

The base of work could be either Bristol or Weston, depending on the best fit for the successful applicant, with the ability to work cross site.
You will have recent hospital experience, preferably in oncology; have excellent communication, influencing and problem solving skills and preferably good mentoring, reaching and assessment skills to enable you to take on this influential role within our Trust.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the job are to:
- Provide strategic leadership and operational management of the Clinical Pharmacy Cancer Services at Weston General Hospital (WGH), including pharmaceutical support for clinical trials.
- Provide line management and mentorship for pharmacists, technicians, assistants, and students, overseeing recruitment, induction, training, and performance management.
- Deliver high-quality clinical pharmacy services to oncology patients, act as a Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP), and ensure safe and efficient medication supply.
- Develop and monitor safe systems of work for handling hazardous materials and ensure compliance with COSHH and clinical trial regulations.
- Lead education and training initiatives, provide specialist advice to multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to policy development, research, and audit activities.
- Representing pharmacy and the Trust at external meetings and on external groups and ensure services meet national quality standards.
- You will also support the wider pharmacy team to deliver a comprehensive, safe and cost effective clinical pharmacy for the hospital as a whole.
