Main duties of the job
University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust seeks applicants for the expansion of the Consultant team in Emergency Medicine to commence as soon as possible. This reflects a firm commitment within UHBW to expand the consultant workforce in Weston ED. The posts provide eligible individuals an ideal opportunity for continued professional development within the recently expanded Department of Emergency Medicine (ED), which forms the Trust's emergency "front door".
These are 10PA posts providing 8.5 DCC and 1.5 SPA/admin each. The posts reflect a firm commitment within UHBW to continue the expansion and development of the consultant team in the Department of Emergency Medicine (ED) to enable shop floor consultant clinical presence to meet Royal College of Emergency Medicine guidelines and the expectations of clinical governance and to ensure the continued development of excellence in Emergency Care. The Trust is committed to the development of the Department as the Trust's emergency "front door" and the aspiration is for further consultant expansion to allow sustainable consultant working for the future.
Applicants should have a CCT or equivalent in Emergency Medicine, or be within six months of achieving this at the date of interview, or be listed on the GMC's specialist register.
