Job summary
The Physiotherapy Department is a busy unit within the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children which provide services for local children and specialist care for families across the South West and beyond. The therapy teams have a wealth of experience across many specialities, ensuring that the Physiotherapy Department is always a dynamic, interesting and stimulating place to work.
We are looking for a suitably qualified therapist to join our team. This is a bank post, with the opportunity to work in a wide range of paediatric specialities including neurosciences, acute medical and orthopaedics.

Main duties of the job
- To be an integral member of the paediatric physiotherapy team, providing assessment, diagnosis and treatment of children and adolescents presenting with a wide variety of paediatric disorders to the Children's Hospital. This caseload may include paediatric inpatients and outpatients, in a variety of specialist rotations.
- Be involved and assist the team in data collection.
- Support and assist senior physiotherapy staff in the development of the service.
- To work closely with specialist physiotherapists and multidisciplinary team to deliver a regional, shared-care service.
- Be responsible for an inpatient and outpatient caseload, providing assessment and treatment of children presenting with diverse conditions and complex needs. The delivery of treatment will be individualised.
- To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner, working independently without direct supervision.
- Maintain a Continuous Professional Development portfolio and undertake CPD activities such as attending and delivering in-service training and relevant post graduate courses.
