Haemostasis Clinical Fellow

Job summary

This 12 month post starting in February 2026 provides an exciting opportunity to gain experience in the management of patients with disorders of haemostasis and benign Haematology.

The job is based in the Bristol Haematology Unit which comprises a 25 bedded in-patient unit and day unit area specifically for patients with Haemophilia, ITP and TTP and other non-malignant Haematology disorders excluding Haemoglobinopathies. Bristol is a Haemophilia Comprehensive Care Centre an ITP treating Centre, and a regional TTP centre.

The post is ideal for Haematology trainees who are in the later stages of their Haematology training looking for additional experience in this area.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work within the Haemophilia and benign Haematology team based in the Bristol Haematology Unit. Duties will cover all aspects of the care of patients with Haemostasis disorders. Close working with the clinical trials team for management of patients in clinical trials will be expected. The post holder will be encouraged to do research projects/ audits for presentations at conferences and for publications.

  • 4 years or more full time post graduate experience (or its equivalent gained on a part time or flexible basis) at least 2 years of which has been in an adult general medicine specialty which can be relevant to Haematology
  • Experience working in Haematology
