Job summary
Applicants are invited to apply for a 6 month fixed term fellowship post in Head and Neck radiology starting in August 2025.The successful applicant would join a committed and diverse team of 17 radiology registrars and 4 other specialist ST6 level fellows in different specialities. The post is based at the Bristol Royal Infirmary (as part of Universities Bristol and Weston NHS Trust) in the thriving and cosmopolitan city of Bristol.
You will be part of the busy Head and Neck team with 4 Consultant Clinical Radiologists who specialise in Head and Neck radiology and 2 Dental and Maxillofacial radiologists as well as senior trainees in Radiology.
There is a tertiary Head and Neck MDT weekly, specialist MDTs in orbital , neuro ophthalmology and benign ENT imaging and radiotherapy planning meetings as well as specialist MRI, CT and neck ultrasound , sialography and cone beam CT reporting.
Main duties of the job
8 sessions of specialist work in Head and Neck radiology reporting and ultrasound with one session of acute Ct and plain film reporting per week.
Weekend acute adult CT cover for the BRI as part of a 1:5 or 1:6 rota 10am-6pm Sat/Sundays and Bank holidays.
The appointee would be encouraged to be involved in the teaching and training of the registrars and also students from University of Bristol Medical School.
