Job summary

We are seeking an experienced clinical leader with a passion for improving health and wellbeing at work to be the new Clinical Lead for our occupational health service. We are looking for a dynamic and strategic individual to work across two acute hospitals and a large community provider. You will play a pivotal role in shaping strategy and aligning the occupational health service to the clinical and operational objectives of the NHS partners we serve. This will require you to be a skilled communicator, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels from across multiple functions including colleagues from Health and Safety, Human Resources, Infection Prevention and Control as well as executive directors.

Main duties of the job

You will be a registered healthcare professional, qualified as a Consultant in Occupational Medicine, and with extensive experience working in large and complex healthcare settings. The postholder will have overall responsibility for the clinical function of the service, working across a multidisciplinary team focused on efficient occupational management of colleagues' health and wellbeing.

Avon Partnership Occupational Health Service (APOHS) is an NHS service hosted by UHBW, in partnership with North Bristol Trust & Sirona care & health. We provide a specialist service to the local health community in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire as well as providing services to other private and public sector organisations in the local and surrounding areas.
