Join our NICU Team as a Staff Nurse for a March 2025 Start

We are excited to invite a compassionate and dedicated Staff Nurse to join our dynamic Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team in March 2025. This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact in neonatal nursing, working within one of the most respected NICUs in the South West.

Why Join Us?

Our NICU is a Level 3 Tertiary Centre, one of only three in the South West neonatal network, where we provide expert care for babies with complex needs, including respiratory, surgical, neurological, and cardiac conditions, as well as pre-term and full-term infants. We are deeply committed to delivering outstanding family-centred care, ensuring the best outcomes for our babies and their families.

What We Offer:

You'll be joining a highly skilled and experienced multidisciplinary team (MDT), comprising nurses, nursery nurses, medics, consultants, and allied healthcare professionals. Our team is united by a shared philosophy: working together with families to provide high-quality, individualised care in a supportive environment.

We are dedicated to ongoing professional development, offering a wide range of opportunities, including university-accredited courses and in-house training for specialist roles.

Our Mission:

We strive to create an environment that promotes teamwork, learning, and research, upholding a culture of openness, honesty, and mutual respect. We work closely with families, recognising the importance of empowering parents to take an active role in their baby's care, providing tailored support, information, and guidance. Respecting the dignity and privacy of every family we care for is at the heart of everything we do.

Main duties of the job

  • Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate prescribed treatment and care for patients and their families
  • Communicate effectively and maintain confidentiality with patient's carers and the multi disciplinary team
  • Act as a professional role model setting standards of practice
  • Promote clinical effectiveness and opportunities for teaching junior colleagues and students
  • Promote and maintain a safe environment for patients.
  • Administer medicines in accordance with Trust policy.
  • Develop clinical skills and participate in continuous professional development
  • Provide accurate timely contemporary records of care and treatment in line with Trust record keeping policy and NMC

Important Note;

Please ensure that you complete a full application detailing why you would like to work in our NICU.

At this time, we are unable to support nurses or midwives who require OSCE to register with the NMC UK. Unfortunately, such applications will not be considered
