Main duties of the job

The Role

As the Facilities Training & Assurance Manager, you'll take the lead on delivering key training programs, ensuring that our team is equipped with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed. From induction to specialist training in cleaning, food service, and equipment use, you'll be the go-to expert in maintaining compliance with NHS standards. You'll also collaborate closely with our managers to assess and enhance performance, track progress, and continuously improve our training programs.

You'll be the one who ensures that health & safety processes and procedures are in place & met, working hand-in-hand with department heads and H&S Technical Experts, to keep everything running smoothly and safely. The role offers an exciting mix of hands-on training, project management, and strategic input into how we train the workforce of tomorrow. Plus, you'll get to make a real impact on the day-to-day operations of our team.

  • Level 3 Food Hygiene and Safety certificate
  • IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent experience in managing H&S in the workplace
  • Educated to Degree Level or equivalent experience in service industry

Desirable

  • Level 4 Food Hygiene
  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational H&S or equivalent

Experience

  • Experience of working in cleaning and catering services in a supervisory role
  • Experience of working within a large organisation and with large staff groups
  • Experience of training techniques used to include all learning styles

  • Excellent knowledge of NHS cleaning standards
  • Experience of working within a large organisation and with large staff groups
  • Experienced in project work, familiar with audit and monitoring processes

Skills
