Job summary

The Bristol Dental Hospital are looking for a Deputy Performance and Operations Manager (DPOM) to join their team.

This is an exceptional opportunity to take on a challenging, high-profile role within the Division of Surgery. Based in Bristol Dental Hospital, the post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day operational of the Patient Access Department or The Admissions Department. Working with the Performance & Operations Manager, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role leading a team of administrators, whilst working closely with clinical and management teams.

The successful candidate will ideally have a strong operational background working within healthcare and can communicate effectively with staff and patients. They should demonstrate strong leadership skills, positivity, resilience, and enthusiasm.

A proven track record in delivering service improvements would be advantageous, and a passion to improve patient care is essential. In return you can expect to work in a fast-paced environment, working with a variety of clinical and non-clinical staff, in a role which is challenging but rewarding.

Main duties of the job

Reporting to the Performance and Operations Manager (POM); the post holder will manage, motivate, and develop the team of staff providing administrative services, as well as providing day-to-day operational management for the allocated clinical departments. This is to include the management of budgets, Health & Safety, and all aspects of Human Resources within their areas of responsibility. The post holder will contribute to the delivery of challenging performance targets through effective communication and liaise with staff across the Trust as well as organising and analysing complex data.
