Unity Sexual Health is a free NHS service providing STI testing and treatment, contraception and pregnancy advice for Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. Unity Sexual Health is provided by University HospitalsBristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust in partnership with:- British Pregnancy Advisory Service (BPAS)- Brook- MSI Reproductive Choices- North Bristol NHS Trust- Terrence Higgins Trust
Our aim is to provide a high quality informative service which supports our users. Everyone should be able to easily access our services to support healthier relationships and sexual wellbeing throughout life. The post holder will provide an efficient and effective patient focused secretarial and administrative service to the Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP), psychosexual, contraception and genitourinary doctors and practitioners. Working in a fast paced clinical environment and as part of a small, dynamic team, the post holder will report to the Team Leader. The post holder will also be responsible for setting high standards of patient care by enacting the Trust's values at all times.
Main duties of the job
- To support the triaging of referrals by liaising with key clinical staff.
- To co-ordination of the Unity Medical rota's
- Manage patient communication both via telephone and through trust systems to create letter, email and text reminders.
- Act as point of contact for queries from clinical and non-clinical staff
- Liaise with Clinic and non-clinical teams across the trust via telephone and email
- Escalate patient queries, capacity problems and general issues to the role's line manager or relevant clinical staff as appropriate
- Communicate changes to clinic and appointments to patients as instructed, often as short notice.
