Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for a Advanced ATO - Cleanroom Supervisor to join our team. We are looking for someone with significant pharmacy cleanroom experience to join our busy team. This is a new role within the department; the successful candidate will have strong organisational skills and be highly motivated, with a practical knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice.

The candidate will be required to work within a team of Pharmacists, Pharmacy technicians, Quality assurance specialists, Senior assistant technical officers and assistant technical officers. The candidate will be required to effectively communicate across all these staffing groups.

Main duties of the job

  • To perform a range of organisational, supervisory and manufacturing functions within the pharmacy aseptic unit in order to provide an efficient and quality service.
  • Assist with the day to day to supervision and co-ordination of aseptic manufacture and dispensing activities, highlighting any issues to the senior pharmacy technician team
  • Planning and prioritisation of own workload in order to direct junior and trainee team members to maintain consistent workflow.
  • Aseptic manufacture of medicines using aseptic technique in pharmaceutical isolators following validated methods and standard operating procedures.
  • Provide pre-process checks on assembled trays upon completion of accreditation
  • Provide in-process checks accuracy checks upon completion of accreditation
  • Provide clean room supervision during the manufacturing of medicines
  • To assist the Senior Pharmacy Technicians - Education and Training in training staff members in broth transfer validations, transfer processes, assembly, dispensing and manufacture of aseptic products.
  • Identify training needs of team members and feed back to the Senior Pharmacy Technicians - Education and Training.
  • To carry out environmental monitoring for isolators and clean rooms, reporting any deviations from procedures or parameters
  • To maintain own operator validations as per Standard Operating Procedures
