Senior Staff Nurse - Band 6
Outpatients
Permanent 37.5hrs per week
&
Fixed term (1 year) part time 22.5 hrs up to 30 hrs per week
An exciting opportunity have arisen for a Band 6 post in the Children's Outpatient department.
Children come from the whole of the South West and South Wales to visit the Outpatient department and the nurses strive to present a good first impression of the Hospital.
The successful applicant will work within the friendly and supportive Children's Outpatient team. They will work across four outpatient areas on Levels 3, Carousel, Fairground and level 5, Rainforest at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children; St Michaels Hospital and South Bristol Community Hospital providing a high standard of care to the children and their families when they visit the Outpatients departments. There is also the potential to have the opportunity to gain experience in the associated ambulatory areas of the Children's hospital
Main duties of the job
The successful applicants will have good communication skills with families, children, and with fellow colleagues and all the Multidisciplinary teams that use the Outpatients Department.
You will have desire to manage a small team within the outpatient nursing team and be part of a developing service provision. You will have good organisational skills, work well amongst the team and show collaborative working across our ambulatory areas, must be able to remain calm under pressure in a very busy, fast paced environment.
You will be supported by existing members of the senior nursing team within outpatients
