Job summary
UHBW are looking for a Clinical Fellow to join their Oral Medicine and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery team. The successful candidate will spend 6 months with each speciality in a clinical role delivering outpatient clinics, inpatient and outpatient care. This role would suit an individual who is already experienced and must hold Full GDC registration. The interview date for this post is 23rdAugust 2024 with a target start date of 4th September 2024 but this can be negotiated. This is a full-time post on a fixed term basis for 12 months.
Main duties of the job
You will spend 6 months with our Oral Medicine department and 6 months in our Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. You will develop experience in Inpatient and Outpatient care, Management for Oncology, Orthognathic, Dermatology, Trauma and Development Anomaly including Cleft, Care of patients under general and local anaesthesia including surgical exodontia.
Posts particularly suited to those considering a career in Maxillofacial Surgery. Resident on call commitment over an 8 week rotation.
Clinical activity is expected across 3 sites- Bristol Royal Infirmary/Bristol Dental Hospital, South Bristol Community Hospital & Weston General Hospital. Travel between hospitals, is required.
