The therapy team at UHBW has an exciting opportunity for you to join usas a static, Band 6 Prehabiliatation Physiotherapist within the Surgery pathway, working 18.75hrs per week.
This is a brand-new static role within a small (but growing) Prehabilitation team. With ongoing service expansion, this role comes with exciting service development opportunities, including data analysis, attending conferences, and presenting at different events. We are a friendly team who pride ourselves on our open and welcoming culture, where we continue to strive to deliver high quality care whilst continuing to learn from each other.
You will be working weekdays based at the Bristol Royal Infirmary site, with some cross-site working at Weston General Hospital (travel expenses are supported). There is no weekend or Bank Holiday working commitment.
Main duties of the job
You will be working alongside the Prehab & Surgery Band 7 Physiotherapist and Pathway Lead to continue development of the service. You will work closely with the rotational Band 6 Physio, Occupation Therapy technician and twoExercise Instructors, alongside the wider preoperative MDT and Macmillan Therapy Team.
The caseload currently involves patients undergoing major surgery within the Thoracic, Upper GI, Colo-rectal, Hepato-bilary, Max-fax and ENT specialties. The post holder will be key to helping expand and develop this service to all surgical specialties across the UHBW sites.
We also wish to make candidates aware that for these roles we do not have any funding available to support successful candidates with relocation costs. As an organisation we will cover the cost of any Certificates of Sponsorships required but this is the only cost we can support.
