Job summary

We are looking for a full time Band 6 Audiologist.

The experienced Band 6 Audiologist will act as an autonomous practitioner, providing specialist audiology assessment and treatment, and managing their own patient caseload. They will plan and prioritise their own workload, delegating tasks appropriately within the multi-disciplinary team. They will supervise and train Band 5 Audiologists, Associate and Assistant Practitioners and other students as required. The post holder will work across the UHBristol & Weston Audiology sites including St Michael's Hospital, Southmead Hospital and other outreach sites.

Main duties of the job

The University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is a large Teaching Trust, with close University links. We provide a comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitation service for patients with Hearing , Balance and Tinnitus disorders and are an Any Qualified Provider for NHS hearing aids.We are looking a for one well-motivated and enthusiastic Specialist Audiologist to join our large team comprising of Audiologists/Associates/Assistants, Clinical Scientists, Hearing Therapists and admin team . The post holder will be based across the UHBristol & Weston sites , main bases at St Michael's and Southmead Hospitals and may be required to cover clinics at other hospital outreach sites.You should possess a BSc (Hons) in Audiology or BAAT/BTEC parts 1 and 2 as a minimum requirement enabling registration with AHCS. You will have developed your knowledge and skills to a specialist level in adult diagnostics and rehabilitation of hearing and tinnitus disorders.

Essential

  • Audiology Degree or BAAT/ BTEC Parts 1 and 2
  • HCPC/RCCP Registered as appropriate
  • Evidence of relevant knowledge and skills developments in all areas of the advertised role including attendance at relevant M level modules in Tinnitus, Hyperacusis and Rehabilitation

  • A post graduate diploma in Audiology
