Job summary

Digital Services is looking for an experienced manager to join the Senior Management team of the Digital Systems Domain within the department. We are looking for someone with leadership & management skills & experience at a minimum of Band 7 level or equivalent, as well as knowledge of large-scale healthcare systems. This is a development opportunity for six months and may be reviewed at the end of that period.

Main duties of the job

  • The post-holder will be responsible for end to end development lifecycle of the Trust's Clinical Information Systems such as but not limited to configuration, agreed customisations, interfacing, testing as well as any associated training.
  • The post-holder will manage teams of; Subject Matter Experts in the various clinical systems and their sub-modules.

  • Educated to degree level, or equivalent relevant qualification or substantial experience in IT system management or related work

Skills and Abilities

  • Understanding of the application of information technology to the NHS working environment
  • Knowledge of current information technology best practice relating to health records management, including security and confidentiality
  • Understanding of the business processes and information requirements of a large complex organisation
