Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Physiotherapist to work within the region of Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) based at the Bristol Royal Infirmary.

We are looking for an innovative, inclusive clinical leader who is passionate about delivering a service which is patient centred and ensures patients receive the right care at the right time in the right place. The post holder will work closely with the Respiratory Pathway Lead, Clinical specialist respiratory nursing team and respiratory consultants to provide a high-quality patient centred service. The caseload includes patients with Bronchiectasis, Asthma, COPD, Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia and breathing pattern disorders.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an individual who has advanced respiratory clinical skills who can treat and manage complex patients, and who is confident to challenge current practice and ensure that our patients receive up-to-date evidence-based treatments. The post covers predominantly outpatient clinics and some inpatient work. There is a requirement to partake in a respiratory on-call service and the weekend general respiratory rota.

The post holder will already be a skilled respiratory clinician with previous or transferrable skills at Band 6 or above. They will be naturally empathetic, demonstrating high level communication skills to facilitate close working relationships with both patients and colleagues. They will need to be creative and flexible to meet the service needs.

In service training programmes and staff appraisal systems are in operation to support your development to enable you to meet the demands of the post.
