Rheumatology Band 6 Junior Sister
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Rheumatology band 6 junior sister. We are looking for a highly motivated, committed and enthusiastic nurse who is keen to develop both managerial and rheumatology skills.
Our Rheumatology department consists of 6 clinic rooms, a therapies area, bone densitometry scanner and a very busy 5 bedded day case area that delivers a range of complex IV treatments. The department is an outpatient service and is open between 8.30-18.00 Mon to Friday.
Main duties of the job
If you're committed to developing your career within Rheumatology we can offer you support in your personal development as well as advancing your management knowledge and experience . However there is also a clinical aspect to this role and with support and training you will also be delivering a nurse led clinic as well as nurse helpline sessions and when required helping out in our day case area. Rheumatology experience is helpful but not essential. We have a well-established senior team on board; who will be able to support your learning and development.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate good managerial, organisational and communication skills, as well as, maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
You will be expected to work closely with the senior management team and deputise for the senior sister when required. The role will also include mentoring and support for junior members of the team as well as staff appraisals and assisting the senior sister with day to day management of the service.
