Job summary
Band 3 Clinic Coordinator to work within a team at BEH for the booking of patients
The post holder will be responsible for booking outpatients appointment according to the Access Policy. They will deliver excellent Customer care on the telephone customer care on the telephone. The candidate will ensure doctors' clinic are fully utilised. Referral to treatment target will be understood and following the Access Policy will be essential. To communicate effectively accurately with patients and other supporting services within the BEH.

Main duties of the job
Main Duties
- Booking patients and monitoring doctors clinic
- Organisation of doctors clinics to open and close for Annual eave and ED cover in accordance with availability
- Undertake telephone calls/queries and booking of appointments as necessary.
- To be responsible for entering and updating accurate information on the Careflow and for patients records, in a timely way.
- Maintain and manage Partial Booking Lists for New and follow up patients to support effective patient management, within targets.
- Communicate effectively, accurately applying discretion and tact where necessary, with written, over the telephone, e-mail and face to face contact with patients, visitors, other trusts and external agencies.
- Adopt and ensure compliance with all relevant policies.
- To promote and support changes to working practices, to improve service delivery.
- Maintain and promote the health and safety of self, patients and members of staff.
- Attend any relevant meetings, as directed by your line-manager.
- To undertake any other suitable task as agreed with the line-manager.
