Job summary
An exciting opportunity has become available in our small friendly Intensive Care Unit for an experienced , motivated ward clerk/administrative assistant.
Weston Intensive Care Unit (WICU) is a four bed unit with a small and very friendly team who care for a range of Level 2 and 3 patients from both emergency and elective admissions.
Main duties of the job
Responsibilities will include:
- A wide range of administrative skills to assist the smooth running of the unit.
- First point of contact for the Unit greeting and signposting relatives and informing Unit staff of their arrival this will require a professional sensitive manner with excellent communication skills whilst maintaining confidentiality and the positive unit reputation.
- Processing of patient data using Careflow and Philips ICCA.
- Clerical duties may include but not limited to; patient records receiving, transferring and tracking; maintaining accurate filing and storage systems; photocopying and noting and recording meeting minutes.
- Support Unit staff in ordering and maintaining supplies of clinical consumables.
