Job summary
Applications are invited for an NHS funded post of Consultant Orthodontist in Orthodontic Services at the Bristol Dental Hospital; part time (9 PAs) on a permanent contract. The appointee will be welcomed within an integrated and collegiate Orthodontic services team.
There is no on-call commitment. The Consultant Orthodontist will provide a full range of orthodontic treatment within the Orthodontic Service based at Bristol Dental Hospital. The role is for up to 4.5 days a week with appropriate supporting activity time within the job plan.
Clinical services will need to be provided with a high level of expertise in diagnosis, treatment planning and treatment.
Main duties of the job
- New patient referral clinics
- Personal treatment of complex clinical cases
- Supervision of postgraduate clinical treatment sessions
- Participate within the Hypodontia Service, involving multidisciplinary planning and review clinics in collaboration with the Restorative Department
