We are looking for an enthusiastic clinical psychologist, with an interest in paediatric neuropsychology, to join our friendly, supportive and hardworking team within Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. Two days of this post has permanent funding and one day is currently fixed term. There may well be scope to increase hours and the length of the contact. This role is ideal for those keen to develop experience, knowledge and skills relating to cognitive assessment and neuropsychology, as well as those wishing to continue to further develop therapeutic skills with a paediatric health population. With the skills developed in this role, you would become a strong candidate in future for CAMHS or other health psychology roles.
Current third year trainee clinical psychologists with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
Main duties of the job
The neuropsychology team at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children provides specialist psychological assessment and intervention for children with neurological conditions, including functional neurological disorders. This role will include a mixture of assessment and intervention for both in and outpatients. We make use of virtual clinics to make psychology accessible for our patients across the southwest as well as more traditional face-to-face working. This exciting role will include providing psychological interventions for children and young people with mental health needs in the context of neurological illnesses, as well as providing clinical psychology input for children and families under the care of the the neuro-oncology service. There is scope for flexible working, including some working from home.

- Postgraduate doctorate in clinical psychology (or equivalent if trained prior to 1996) recognised for registration by the HCPC as Practitioner Clinical Psychologist
