Job summary

The post holder will be responsible for tracking patients with suspected cancer from point of referral, ensuring patients are seen in a timely manner.

The role will involve communicating with various departments across the Trust. Other key responsibilities include providing support to the Dermatology Fast Track Team and Cancer MDT Coordinators.

The post holder will be expected to split their week working both in the office and also from home.

Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as part of the Dermatology Administrative Team to assist with the Tracking of Outpatient pathways and data quality checking against national targets set by NHS England.

The post holder will Manage areas of the Cancer Patient Tracking Lists (PTL) ensuring all parts of pathways of care are delivered in a timely manner, for example arranging diagnostic or treatment procedures to be expedited when booked outside of treatment date.

This post will suit team players with an enquiring mind and a methodical attention to detail. You will be investigating patient delays and record information on the patient administration system; therefore, you should be comfortable working across a range of software including Microsoft Office. You should be able to demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills to provide coherent feedback and explanatory emails.
