We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Physiotherapist to join our Adult Therapy Services department at UHBW rotating across both Bristol & Weston sites.
Our rotations are currently 6 months in duration and we offer a wide range of experiences including Musculoskeletal Disorders, Trauma and Orthopaedics, General Medicine & Medical Respiratory, Older People's Rehab, Cardiac, Surgery / ITU and Stroke. We also offer an acute stroke rotation that is based at North Bristol Trust (Southmead Hospital)
As part of an integrated therapy service you will report to a Band 7 Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist team lead in your clinical area. In all areas you will be able to access senior PT professional support and training and development opportunities.
We operate a 7 day level of working in some teams and a 6 day level of working in other teams at the BRI meaning that you will contribute to 1:4 Saturday &/or Sundays. You will contribute to the weekend working and on-call respiratory rota.
We also wish to make candidates aware that for these roles we do NOT have any funding available to support successful candidates with relocation costs.

Main duties of the job
- To act as an autonomous practitioner, providing physiotherapy assessment and treatment, and managing their own patient caseload within a speciality team, with the support and mentoring of senior physiotherapists.
- Staff will rotate to different clinical areas across the Trust. Each rotation will have clear learning objectives to consolidate and build on graduate skills and academic knowledge.
- To plan and prioritise their own workload, delegating tasks as appropriate and communicating progress with the multi-disciplinary team.
- To supervise and train Technical Instructors and Students as required.
- The post holder will be required to work shifts including weekends, to participate in the bank holiday rota, and contribute to a 24/7 respiratory on call rota.
