The fracture liaison has an exciting opportunity for a part-time/job share 2 days per week band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to join the small and friendly team. We are looking for an enthusiastic nurse to advance their career whilst providing excellent patient experience.

Main duties of the job
The FLS CNS role will identify, assess, investigate, treat, and follow up patients 50 and over who have sustained fragility fractures.
Mostly based at the BRI, the role will involve ward based assessments, nurse led clinics, arranging osteoporosis investigations, supporting patients who require bone protection and follow up of these patients at 4 and 12 months.
The BRI Fracture Liaison is a high performing service and nationally recognised service which contributes to the National FLS database, regularly out-performing other services in fracture identification and patient follow up. We pride ourselves in attention to detail and the patient experience, despite identifying 1700 patients per year. We use the first fracture to prevent the next.
Ideally you will be an experience nurse working in a relevant speciality with non-medical prescribing. Colleague from a Care of the Elderly, Orthopaedic, Primary Care or Community Nursing are encouraged to apply.
