Job summary

Develop and implement a strategic plan to revitalise and strengthen SWIPE, in partnership with relevant stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, OPEN-UK, patients/families, and industry.

Main duties of the job

Develop and implement a strategic plan to revitalise/strengthen SWIPE, in partnership with relevant stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, OPEN-UK, patients/families, and industry.

Establish effective communication and collaboration channels with stakeholders to ensure that their perspectives are considered in the transformation process.

Identify best practices from other health-care networks including other paediatric epilepsy networks. Identify deficiencies in the current practices of SWIPE.

Develop Terms of Reference and a Constitution for SWIPE. This may include a membership policy.

Develop an agreed policy for sponsorship / funding.

Develop democratic processes for the appointment of leadership roles in SWIPE

Consider the development of working groups within SWIPE.

Review the role of SWIPE in providing CPD and education, sharing information/guidelines, and maintaining communication between stakeholders. Consider arrangements for a website or other information repository.

Develop methods to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SWIPE.
