Job summary

We are looking for a highly motivated experienced Theatre Practitioner to join our friendly team at St Michaels theatres, suitable for a Operating Department Practitioner or Registered Nurse.

We have 5 theatres covering Obstetrics , Gynaecology (begin and Oncology ) , Upper GI surgery, ENt Specialties and some dental surgery work. We have a small but busy recovery unit and staff will be expected to cover this area during the week and at weekends .

The department covers Elective and Emergency surgery 24/7 with On call, nights and weekend working, on a rota.

We are mainly based on the St Michaels site but can sometimes support other theatre departments within the trust.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a member of staff with experience in either scrub and or anaesthetics; and ideally recovery.

Knowledge of the specialities our department covers is preferred.
