Assistant Performance and Operations Manager in Obstetrics & Gynaecology - St Michael's Hospital and Weston General Hospital
This new role has been established within Obstetrics & Gynaecology at St Michael's Hospital to work closely with the Performance & Operations Manager. The post-holder will manage operational activities and staff within Obstetrics and Gynaecology at UHBW NHS Trust. Bristol will be the main site however the post-holder will be required to work at Weston General at least once a month.
Working closely with the Performance and Operations Managers and Divisional Management team. The post-holder will contribute to the delivery of efficient clinic utilisation across St Michael's Hospital and Weston General Hospital through their expertise across all aspects of elective list management and validation.
The post-holder will contribute to the delivery of challenging performance targets through effective communication and liaison with Consultant, medical, nursing and administrative staff across St Michael's Hospital and Weston General Hospital on a day to day basis. The post holder will line manage a group of administrative staff across the Bristol & Weston sites.
Main duties of the job
- Responsible for analysing team performance to identify future areas for development and able to communicate findings to the teams and more senior managers.
- Persuade, motivate, train and engage the teams to implement changes and improvements.
- Implement agreed policies and propose improvement ideas across the teams.
- Management of elective waiting lists across both sites.
- Improve outcome processes
- Staff Management of the administrative teams across both sites
- Performance Management of waiting lists both Elective and Outpatients

- Experience of healthcare administration and clerical work in an office environment
