Are you currently working in an admin role and looking for an interesting and challenging job working in the NHS?

Home Management Services (Community Tube Feeding Team) isa small friendly department providing a service to adults and children throughout Bristol, South Glos, North Somerset and Bath who need specialised nutritional care at home. We work and liaise with many different people and services and there is a busy and varied workload, with lots of problem solving.

We are looking for a competent administrator with proven admin experience to join the team.

If you are well organised, an excellent communicator (both on the phone and face to face), able to work alone as well as in a team, and if you feel you meet our person specification, then come and join us.

The successful candidate will be familiar with several IT systems, and require an ECDL, CLAIT 2 or equivalent, and must have had experience working in an office environment. Admin experience in a healthcare setting and a customer services qualification would also be an advantage.

You will be based in pleasant office surroundings in Central Health Clinic, UHBW where there is full support from our Office Manager and up to date IT facilities.

Main duties of the job

The HMS Dietitians and Assistants work in the community supporting adults and children who are tube feeding. The HMS administration team underpins the success, efficiency and effectiveness of the HMS service. The 0.8wte admin team post holder is essential to maintaining day to day continuity of the service,

Acting as the first point of contact for all callers the admin assistant is confident and demonstrates excellent customer services skills. They work in a flexible, supportive and approachable way in response to constantly changing priorities and demands.

As a 0.8wte member of staff this post holder is key to ensuring the continuity of service by facilitating excellent communication between team members at all times.

The Administration Assistant

- Provides a consistent and efficient clerical support service

- Demonstrates effective time management and workload prioritisation with a problem solving approach

The admin assistant will be expected to undertake any other duties which may be identified in consultation with the HMS Office Manager.
