Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 2 Healthcare Assistant to join the Outpatients nursing team at Yeovil District Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Hospital.

The post is either part time or full time, up to 37.5 hours per week.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an individual who is eager to learn, has a kind and caring attitude towards patients, families and colleagues and who will be a positive team member. The role will involve working to run clinics alongside the doctors, assisting with procedures, giving medications, applying dressings, ensuring documentation is completed, and performing observations on selected patient groups.

The Main Outpatients departmentoffers a friendly, supportive, innovative and progressive environment where you will be encouraged to develop your advanced clinical skills and competencies.

The successful candidate will be supported by experienced senior staff and will have the opportunity to develop both clinically and professionally, with further training in house to develop your skills and knowledge around our multiple and varied outpatient clinics.
